GoldStone Resources climbs on loan leeway

GoldStone Resources (AIM:GRL) shares were lifted on Tuesday as the firm reported leeway for an existing loan.

The company, in a statement, said it had agreed an amendment to a standstill agreement relating to its existing gold loan with Asian Investment Management Services, with revised terms extending the loan maturity date from 31 December 2025 to 31 December 2026.

It also confirmed that interest payments on the gold loan have been frozen for a six-month period to 30 June.

“The extension of the gold loan maturity and the temporary deferral of interest payments provides additional flexibility as we focus on stabilising existing operations and progressing the Company’s broader development plans," said chief executive Emma Priestley.

In London, Goldstone shares were up 17.7% on Tuesday, changing hands at 0.65p.
