Tap Global debuts on London’s AIM market

Tap Global Group PLC (AQSE:TAP) has made its AIM market debut, with the crypto payments app maker’s equity now trading on the LSE under the symbol ‘TAP’.

Marking the transition to AIM from Aquis, chief executive Arsen Torosian said the move is about amplification and raising awareness of the company among investors.

"While most fintechs list to fund a search for profitability, Tap Group is listing on AIM, having already achieved it. That is our difference,” Torosian said in a statement.

“We spent years doing the hard work first: building a fully regulated, cash flow positive business that serves nearly 400,000 registered users across the globe.

“We've proven the model, the technology, and the demand. So today is not about validation; it's about amplification.”

The Tap boss added: “We offer investors what has become exceptionally rare: the explosive upside of a challenger, built on the profitable foundation of a leader.

“The opportunity is now, and we are ready to seize it."

Tap Global offers a single app that integrates traditional money payments with cryptocurrency settlement services. So far, it has 0.39 million registered users and it aims to create a regulated bridge between fiat systems and cryptocurrency markets.

Through a wholly owned subsidiary in Gibraltar, Tap holds a DLT (distributed ledger technology) licence, and it highlights that it was the first European crypto-fintech approved by Mastercard.

Supported by Mastercard, the firm’s Tap card lets users convert cryptocurrency to fiat and spend at 37 million merchant locations worldwide.

At the same time, the Tap App allows access to major exchanges to trade over 50 cryptoassets.

AI-powered ‘middleware’, meanwhile, scans multiple venues for the best execution and pricing in real time. And, Tap’s wallets allow its users to hold both fiat currencies in GBP and EUR wallets.
