Tajiri Resources (TSX-V:TAJ) has announced the results of power auger drilling at the K5 prospect, part of the company's Reo Project in Burkina Faso.
The K5 prospect, previously considered to have several small zones of gold anomalies, is now interpreted as a continuous zone measuring approximately 4,000m by 1,000m.
Peak gold values in the saprolite were reported as 1.57g/t, 1.45g/t, and 1.06g/t.
The company highlighted that infill sampling has resulted in an approximately 400% increase in the number of samples exceeding 80ppb and 250ppb gold.
This improvement is attributed to the reanalysis of K5 data and a better understanding of the gold anomaly zones.
"The company's programs and reanalysis of all K5 data have made an outstanding improvement to the tenor and potential of K5," Tajiri said in a statement.
Tajiri’s future steps for the K5 prospect include conducting detailed auger sampling at the northwest and southeast ends of the prospect, trenching in areas where auger drilling indicates significant depth to mappable saprolite, and gathering structural data.
