Tajiri Resources reports anomalous gold values in Yono sampling

Tajiri Resources (TSX-V:TAJ) said preliminary sampling at the Yono property in Guyana revealed anomalous gold values, indicating potential for primary gold mineralization upslope.

Preliminary results from reconnaissance sampling at the Yono property indicated significant anomalous gold values in two of the five sampled locations, according to a statement from the company.

Nine samples from quartz float and colluvium taken from the northeast corner of Yono returned notable gold values, including 800 grams per ton (g/t), 126 g/t, and 22.7 g/t.

Additionally, two out of three samples from the central north part of Yono, near artisanal mining workings, showed values of 0.4 g/t and 0.7 g/t Au.

These samples, taken from inactive artisanal workings on hill slopes above alluvial workings, do not represent in-situ gold mineralization but indicate the potential for such mineralization upslope, Tajiri said.

CEO Graham Keevil highlighted that while the grab samples cannot be considered representative of in-situ gold mineralization, they, alongside the extensive artisanal workings, strongly suggest Yono's potential to host primary gold deposits.

“These results are a great start to exploration and give us confidence to aggressively initiate a comprehensive program of work,” Keevil told shareholders.

Tajiri is now planning a comprehensive exploration program, including 3,000 to 4,000 meters of trenching and budgeting for follow-up drilling to identify and test near-surface, in-situ gold mineralization.

Yono is situated near G2 Goldfields and G Mining Ventures's Oko and Oko West projects, which have outlined combined resources of 7.9 million ounces of gold.
