Bluefield Partners has appointed Armin Sandhövel as a Senior Adviser.
In his new role, Armin will work closely with Managing Partners James Armstrong and Giovanni Terranova, bringing extensive infrastructure investment expertise to areas such as strategy and fundraising, with a particular emphasis on the DACH market (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria).
Sandhövel has a career in infrastructure and climate-related investments, spanning over two decades with much of his career to climate-positive solutions with the Allianz Group.
Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Officer, Infrastructure Equity, for Allianz Global Investors, where he focused on impact-related green infrastructure projects and developed products for third-party investors.
Sandhövel also established a carbon-related portfolio that invested in Emerging Markets, a key element of Allianz Group’s carbon neutralization strategy.
Sandhövel’s professional background includes serving as Head of Carbon Risk at Dresdner Bank and as a project manager for the German Council of Environmental Advisors, an official think tank for the German Government.
