LSEG boss David Schwimmer’s £13mln pay package approved

London Stock Exchange Group PLC (LSE:LSEG) shareholders have voted through a substantial pay rise for chief executive David Schwimmer.

A total of 88.99% of voting shareholders approved the remuneration package, which could see Schwimmer take home over £13 million in salary and bonuses.

The proposition raised eyebrows for its beefy yearly increase, despite LSEG’s stock price increasing 115% since Schwimmer took over as head of the 300-year-old bourse in April 2018.

LSEG shareholders were less unanimous than previous votes. At the last AGM in April 2023, 97.49% of shareholders voted to approve Scwimmer’s £5.13 million pay package.
