Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has carried out the first major upgrade on its Model 3 electric vehicles, tipped to offer a longer range through better aerodynamics.

According to the company, the cheapest updated model now boasts a range of 554 kilometres (344.2 miles), stretching to 679 kilometres for the four-wheel drive version.

This marks increases in the car’s range of up to 8%, thanks to a fresh bonnet design and better aero features, including new wheels.
