Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX:GAL) is exploring for palladium, platinum, nickel, copper, cobalt and rhodium at its Norseman and Fraser Range projects in Western Australia. Galileo's 100%-owned tenements near Norseman are highly prospective for palladium-copper-nickel sulphide deposits as highlighted by the Callisto discovery in 2022 The company also has joint ventures with the Creasy Group over tenements in the Fraser Range which are prospective for nickel-copper sulphide deposits similar to the operating Nova mine.

Gravity modelling shows the conductors at Delta Blues occur on the margins of gravity highs interpreted to represent intrusive source rocks.
"We have the correct components required to form a mineral deposit and we will continue to aggressively explore for economic mineralisation," says MD.
Drilling at Lantern South prospect is aimed at testing for mineralisation beneath LARC012, which intersected 41 metres at 0.19% nickel and 0.14% copper.
The company’s first diamond drilling program of the year is focused on a priority EM target at Lantern East prospect with up to 1,000 metres of drilling scheduled.
In a positive start to the 2021 field season, the company has added to its pipeline of targets prospective for nickel sulphide mineralisation, modelling three large and strong conductors from EM data.
Preparation for the first RC drilling program of 2021 is underway with drilling on track to begin at the Lantern Prospect in mid-February along with EM surveys at the Delta Blues Prospect.
The Norseman Project occurs at the southern end of the prolific Norseman-Wiluna greenstone belt in WA with numerous nickel, gold and lithium mines in the area.
The process of exploration is slowly eliminating all the possibilities and the year of the Mighty Metal Ox in 2021 is set to bring on its strong back a steady, confident outlook.
Drilling planned at the Lantern East and Lantern South prospects at the Fraser Range early next year will be followed by exploration at the Norseman prospects in quarter two of 2021.
The company has defined a new EM conductor at the Green Moon prospect in the Fraser Range, six kilometres from sulphides at the Lantern Prospect.
Assays have confirmed that the mineralised system at the Lantern prospect can produce high-grade nickel-copper sulphide.
During the September quarter 2020, Galileo increased exploration work programs at the Lantern Prospect, completing diamond and RC drilling campaigns as well as EM surveys.
The regional EM conductor was modelled as a large, steeply dipping, 430-metre-long body with high conductivity of 2,500 Siemens and is within range of RC drilling at 140 metres below surface.
“This is a great result from only our second RC drilling program in the area. We have expanded the nickel sulphide target zone and are developing our understanding of the mineralisation in preparation for further drilling,” says MD.
The company is well-funded to continue exploration with around $8.7 million in cash and deposits as at June 30 - putting it in a secure position during the current period of economic uncertainty.
Diamond drilling of priority targets at Lantern nickel prospect on the Fraser Range has intersected broad zones of sulphide mineralisation.
In Rooster Talk Episode 25, part of the Margaret River Series, Galileo’s Brad Underwood provides an update on nickel exploration.
Three diamond drill holes with planned depths from 200 to 380 metres are designed to test an EM conductor, a structural target and the known disseminated sulphide mineralisation.

The well-supported $5 million placement allows the company to effectively explore the entire area around its Lantern Prospect over the next six to 12 months.
Around 1,500 metres of RC drilling is planned with initial laboratory assays expected within two weeks of finishing drilling.
The new MLEM surveys will cover an area of 46 square kilometres, more than two times larger than the current exploration footprint.
Multiple nickel targets adjacent to previously reported sulphide mineralisation at Lantern South will be tested along with an electro-magnetic conductor along strike.
The Fraser Range is a world-class region for nickel-copper sulphides and Galileo plans to begin drilling its project next month.
Reverse circulation drilling of shallow targets at Lantern South prospect is scheduled to begin in July with diamond drilling of the new EM target to begin in August.
The survey aims to define the most prospective zones for nickel sulphide mineralisation before drilling starts in July.
The free webinar can be viewed live through Zoom and will provide viewers with the opportunity to hear from and engage with a range of emerging ASX-listed nickel exploration companies.
The company is accelerating exploration at its Fraser Range Project Joint Venture with prominent regional player the Creasy Group.
Drilling results combined with magnetic data show three intrusions which have been named Think Big, Backwood and Green Moon.
The Fraser Range is an exploration hotbed with nickel the primary focus and among the many players with highly prospective ground is Galileo Mining.
The company has completed RC drilling at the highly prospective Lantern nickel target and is well-funded to continue follow-up drilling in the near-term.
