Alliance Mineral Assets Ltd (ASX:A40) managing director Mark Calderwood updates Proactive Investors on the lithium producer's record quarterly production at its Bald Hill Lithium and Tantalum Mine in Western Australia.
Lithium production for the March quarter was 68% higher than the previous quarter with 38,291 wet metric tonnes of high-grade spodumene concentrate produced grading 6.1% lithium carbonate.
"It's taken us a while to get to this point but it's a good effort from everyone on site and we're starting to have a smooth run now as expected," says Calderwood.
He continues, "Hopefully this quarter we can nominate who our second and/or potentially third offtakers will be ... Bald Hill is a premium product and the buyers are recognising that now."
