The move is aimed at further strengthening and broadening the experience and skill set of the board as the company moves into 2021.
Drive company forward

Sydney-based Plakidis has 20 years of investment banking and corporate experience in senior leadership roles, including as head of Financial Sponsors Group Asia Pacific for Deutsche Bank, in Hong Kong, as well as investment banking roles with Credit Suisse, ABN Amro and Lehman Brothers.
He has originated and executed numerous deals across the Asia Pacific and has spent time-based in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Plakidis has also executed deals across industry groups and a wide range of products such as acquisitions, equity capital raisings and leveraged finance.
He has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Steve Parsons resigns
Following the appointment of Plakidis, Steve Parsons has resigned as non-executive director with effect from December 24, 2020.
The board has thanked Parsons for his role at Blackstone Minerals over the past three years.
