The phase 2 drilling campaign will total about 55,000 metres of combined RC (reverse circulation) and diamond core drilling and is anticipated to continue until June 2021.
Tribune’s principal objective is to infill sample coverage through most of the inferred and the more robust zones of unclassified mineralisation at the Adiembra prospect.
Drilling to elevate resource classification
The Japa Gold Project is within the eastern portion of the Kumasi Basin of the Proterozoic Birimian Supergroup of West Africa.
Tribune’s drilling program will focus on infill drilling of inferred Adiembra mineralisation to elevate the classification up to a minimum indicated category for future reserve estimation.
The program will test along-strike extensions to the Adiembra system through follow-up of past reconnaissance programs and areas of artisanal mining activity, infill existing drill coverage along the 3+ kilometres long Japa-Dadieso trend.
Tribune’s campaign will also test conceptual targets within the mining lease and start sterilisation drilling across areas tentatively identified for future mine infrastructure requirements.
