Bryah Resources hits 12 metres at 4.32 g/t gold from surface at Windalah to further enhance Bryah Basin potential

Follow-up drilling will be required to test the extent of gold at Windalah and planning is underway to get back drilling as soon as practicable.

Bryah Resources Ltd - Bryah Resources intersects 12 metres at more than 4 g/t from surface at Windalah Gold-Copper prospect
The drilling result highlights the potential for the area, which has had very limited drilling to date

Bryah Resources Ltd (ASX:BYH) has intersected up to 12 metres at 4.32 g/t gold from surface in a short exploration drilling program at Windalah Gold-Copper prospect within the Bryah Basin near Meekatharra in central Western Australia.

The strong results, which also include 2 metres at 17.19 g/t from 3 metres in the same hole, have confirmed the gold potential of the Bryah Basin.

This drilling program was undertaken following rig availability and was testing for shallow extensions of high-grade gold mineralisation intersected by Bryah’s drilling in 2018.

It comprised three reverse circulation (RC) holes for 210 metres in an area that has received limited drilling to date.

“Impressive result”

Managing director Neil Marston said: “Intersecting 12 metres at more than 4 grams per tonne of gold from the surface is an impressive result for the company.

“We have now hit high-grade gold mineralisation from surface to a vertical depth of over 100 metres from drilling in 2018.

“The drilling result highlights the potential for this area, which has had very limited drilling to date.”

BYH shares have been as much as 17% higher to 7 cents intra-day.

“Most advanced" target

He said follow-up drilling would be required to test the extent of gold at Windalah and planning was underway to get back to drilling as soon as practicable.

“Drilling at Windalah in 2018 intersected gold mineralisation of up to 15 grams per tonne over one metre, within a broader zone of gold mineralisation, which we have exceeded in this latest drilling.

“This area remains our most advanced gold-copper target in the Bryah Basin.

"These results vindicate the company’s decision to immediately use these funds on our ongoing gold exploration activities.”

Results from the 2018 drilling include:

  • 5 metres at 6.62 g/t from 79 metres, including 1-metre at 15.05 g/t from 82 metres; and
  • 3 metres at 6.69 g/t from 145 metres, including 1-metre at 10.52 g/t from 146 metres.

Bryah’s geological team is evaluating results of the latest drilling using 3D modelling to plan the next drill program as well as obtain the necessary approvals to proceed as soon as practicable.
