Codebase Ventures Inc (CSE:CODE) (OTCQB:BKLLF) said Friday its investee company World High Life Plc saw record sales from its hemp subsidiary during the coronavirus pandemic. World High Life’s wholly owned subsidiary Love Hemp’s e-commerce sales grew by 39% month over month since January as consumers flock to buy the brand online. In response, Love Hemp’s leadership is building out its existing platforms to reach more customers directly and expanding its offerings through leading UK retailers.

NetCents Technology Inc (CSE:NC) told shareholders that it had no material changes after deciding to delay the filing of its annual financial statements for the fiscal year ended October 31, 2019. The firm recently hired accounting firm Davidson & Company LLP as its new auditor and went through an associated review period in order to be accepted as a new client. The timeline of review meant that NetCents requested and received an original extension on its filing requirements by the British Columbia Securities Commission and a management cease trade order was issued by the regulators. The company plans to file its financial statements by May 29, 2020.

Aurania Resources Ltd (CVE:ARU) (OTCQB:AUIAF) said Friday that LiDAR survey imagery has pinpointed what may be an ancient road from colonial Spanish times on its Lost Cities – Cutucu project in Ecuador. The possible road must be verified and assessed in the field by an archeologist once coronavirus-related restrictions are lifted in the project area. Toronto-based Aurania is using LiDAR surveys to supplement exploration on the Lost Cities – Cutucu project area in the southeastern part of the country.

Medexus Pharmaceuticals Inc (CVE:MDP) (OTCQB:PDDPF) announced after the bell that it had agreed to a US$20 million asset-based credit facility, which the company used to pay down US$10 million of a previous term loan. The ABL facility, arranged by MidCap Financial Trust, has a term of 38 months and a US$20 million revolving commitment with an uncommitted US$10 million accordion. It bears interest at a rate of one month of the London Iner-Bank Offered Rate (LIBOR) plus 3.95% and is subject to a LIBOR floor of 1.5%. Medexus used the initial advance from the facility to repay $10 million of the principal outstanding of a US$20 million term loan from February. The interest rate on the new facility is 255 basis points (2.55%) lower than the rate on the term loan.

Newrange Gold Corp (CVE:NRG) (OTCQB:NRGOF) signed a US$1 million share purchase agreement to sell its Colombian subsidiary Corporacion Minera de Colombia (CMC) to private Australian mining company Andean Mining Corporation Pty Ltd. The company received US$250,000 in an advance payment, with the remaining $750,000 to be paid after nine months. Andean has also issued 15% of its share capital to Newrange and intends to proceed with a listing on the Australian Stock Exchange. Andean previously held an option on CMC’s El Dovio Project, which was terminated when the deal was signed. Newrange will retain a 2% net smelter return on the project, capped at US$6 million.

Lingo Media Corporation (CVE:LM) (OTC:LMDCF) subsidiary ELL Technologies Inc, a language-learning EdTech company, said Friday that it will hold a webinar to help English teachers adjust to teaching remotely during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The webinar, led by ELL Technologies Director of Pedagogy David Boughton, is designed to share best practices from its online education programs and help teachers hone the skills it takes to keep students engaged and motivated in a remote environment. Blackrock Gold Corp (CVE:BRC) (OTCMKTS:BKRRF) announced Friday it is raising up to C$2.75 million to fund its 7,000-metre drill program at the company’s Tonopah West property in Nevada. Tonopah West is a significant landholding within the historic district, comprising 97 patented and 17 unpatented lode mining claims. The previously worked Tonopah silver district produced 174 million ounces of silver and 1.8 million ounces of gold, while Blackrock's ground yielded 2.1 million tons of total Tonopah gold and silver production.

CytoDyn Inc (OTCQB:CYDY) announced that Novant Health is initiating patient enrollment in a Phase 2b/3 trial for CytoDyn’s flagship drug candidate leronlimab in treating severely and critically ill coronavirus (COVID-19) patients. At least 54 patients have been treated with leronlimab so far under the US Food and Drug Administration’s emergency Investigational New Drug (IND) program. Preliminary results from this patient population led to the FDA’s nod for CytoDyn’s Phase 2b/3 clinical trial for 390 patients, which is randomized and placebo-controlled with a 2:1 active drug to placebo ratio. The Vancouver, Washington-based company said patients enrolled in the trial are expected to be given leronlimab for two weeks with the primary endpoint being the mortality rate at 28 days, and a secondary endpoint mapping the mortality rate at 14 days. The company will perform an interim analysis on the data from 50 patients.

Great Panther Mining Limited (TSE:GPR) (NYSEAMERICAN:GPL) saw a substantial growth in revenue during its first quarter of 2020 thanks to production from its newest Tucano gold mine in Brazil. For its first quarter ended March 31, 2020, the Vancouver-based miner generated US$48.1 million in revenue, a 188% increase over the same quarter a year earlier. Tucano clocked US$38 million in revenue in the first quarter driven by higher sales volume from Great Panther’s Mexican operations and higher realized gold and silver prices, according to the company.

Avalon GloboCare Corp (NASDAQ: AVCO) announced that it is advancing its next-generation immune cell therapy to treat blood cancers using FLASH-CAR technology co-developed with strategic partner Arbele Limited. The adaptable FLASH-CAR platform can be used to create personalized cell therapy from a patient’s own cells, as well as off-the-shelf cell therapy from a universal donor. Avalon said its FLASH-CAR technology is also designed to reprogram the immune cells to hone in on multiple crucial cancer cell targets, called tumor antigens, to potentially achieve superior therapeutic effect. Avoiding the use of viral vectors and complicated bio-processing procedures significantly reduces manufacturing costs, resulting in a more affordable and potentially breakthrough therapy for cancer patients.

Nextleaf Solutions Ltd (CSE:OILS) (OTCMKTS:OILFF) announced that it will be conducting a non-brokered private placement to raise up to $2 million, which is subject to an over-allotment option. The cannabis-extraction-technology company said it intends to use the proceeds to fund operating expenses related to its recently announced extraction contracts and for general working capital. Nextleaf will offer the units at a price of $0.30 a piece and each unit will comprise one common share and one common share purchase warrant of the company. Each warrant shall be exercisable to acquire one common share at a price per warrant share of $0.50 for a period of 24 months from the date of issuance.
