A number of mining companies will present at the NWR Virtual Resources conference tomorrow including Red River Resources Limited (ASX:RVR), Perseus Mining Limited (ASX:PRU), Pure Minerals Ltd (ASX:PM1), Blackstone Minerals Ltd (ASX:BSX), Canyon Resources Ltd (ASX:CAY) and Latin Resources Ltd (ASX:LRS).

Red River Resources

Red River Resources managing director Mel Palancian will outline operational plans at 9am on Wednesday.

During the March quarter, the company improved mill production and throughput at Thalanga Base Metals Operation in Northern Queensland, resulting in higher production of zinc and lead concentrates and record copper concentrate production.

Additionally, the company recently acquired the high-grade Hillgrove Gold Project in NSW and intends to commence gold production in 2020.

Perseus Mining

Perseus Mining managing director and chief executive officer Jeff Quartermaine will present at 10:30am AEST on Wednesday, discussing the continuing strong cash flows from the company’s West African gold operations.

The company maintained its targeted cash margin of more than US$400 per ounce of gold produced, generating a notional cash flow of about US$24 million from its Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana and Sissingué Gold Mine in Côte d’Ivoire during the March quarter.

At the Yaouré Gold Mine project in Côte d’Ivoire development is 52% complete and the first gold pour is scheduled for the December quarter - if the COVID-19 travel restrictions are relaxed in the coming months.

Pure Minerals

Pure Minerals managing director John Downie will present at 11.00am AEST on Wednesday, May 6.

Pure Minerals aims to build a new treatment plant near Townsville, the TECH Project, to produce nickel sulphate, cobalt sulphate and high purity alumina (HPA).

Downie will discuss the recently updated pre-feasibility study to include HPA, which confirmed the TECH Project has the potential to deliver excellent economic returns for all commodity cycles.

Blackstone Minerals

Blackstone Minerals managing director Scott Williamson will discuss the company’s recent share purchase agreement with EcoPro Co Ltd (KOSDAQ:086520) at 10am WST on Wednesday.

Blackstone now has a 90% interest in the Ta Khoa Nickel-PGE Project in northern Vietnam where a scoping study is underway with the aim to deliver a maiden resource in the third quarter of 2020.

Canyon Resources

The company is focused on the development of the 100%-owned Minim-Martap Bauxite project, a direct shipping ore (DSO) project development opportunity in central Cameroon.

Canyon is planning the development of the project in a two-stage, two-port execution program with initial production exported though the port of Douala utilising the existing rail and port infrastructure and stage-2 unlocking tonnes and reducing costs by utilising the port of Kribi.

The project is underpinned by a large, shallow, high-grade resource dominated by Gibbsite with low levels of reactive silica.

Latin Resources

Latin Resources executive director Chris Gale will discuss Latin’s project portfolio and key activities planned for 2020 at 3:30pm AEST on Wednesday.

The company is progressing towards drilling at its Pachamanca/MT-03 copper project in Peru with its subsidiary Peruvian Latin Resources SAC (PLR) recently signing an extension to the binding terms executed with Minera Antares Peru SAC (Antares), a subsidiary of Canadian copper producer First Quantum Minerals Limited (TSE:FM).

At the company’s Noombenberry Halloysite Project in WA, recent samples confirm the region's prospectivity and there is an expanded drill program planned.
