Red River Resources Ltd (ASX:RVR) is continuing mining and processing activities at the Thalanga Operation in Northern Queensland with restart activities progressing at the Hillgrove Gold Project in New South Wales.
Thalanga and Hillgrove are residential operations and Red River is striving to ensure its workforce and the communities in which they operate are not impacted.
Red River has implemented preventative measures to reduce risk to its people and operations at all sites including increased hygiene practices, restrictions on non-essential travel, social distancing, limiting visitors to sites and remote working where possible.
New Thalanga general manager
On March 18 the company appointed Randy McMahon as general manager (GM) for the Thalanga Operations.
McMahon took over the role from Karl Spaleck, who is moving to Red River’s Hillgrove Gold project in New South Wales as part of its restart strategy for 2020.
Red River managing director Mel Palancian said at the time: “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Randy McMahon as Red River’s new Thalanga GM.
“Randy will be an outstanding GM at Thalanga with his skills, knowledge and experience.
“With Randy’s appointment, current Thalanga GM Karl Spaleck, will transfer to Red River’s Hillgrove Gold Project in NSW where we look forward to commencing gold production later this year.
“I’d like to thank Karl for his immense contribution at Thalanga over the past 5 years.”
