Kingwest Resources Ltd (ASX:KWR) has engaged drilling contractor Challenge Drilling for its upcoming reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its flagship Menzies Gold Project in Western Australia.
The 100% acquisition of the Menzies Gold Project was completed in September 2019.
The project hosts a 171,310-ounce gold JORC resource grading 2.2 g/t across the Yunndaga, Pericles, Bellenger and Warrior deposits.
A 2019 drilling program was completed comprising 27 RC and diamond holes for 6,907 metres as well as nine pre-collar holes for 558 metres.
The program tested high-grade extensions to Yunndaga, Lady Shenton, Pericles, and Selkirk.
Drilling to target extensions at depth
Results from the first drilling program confirmed the grade and widths of high-grade historical underground mining with the identification of potential for thicker plunging shoots.
This next phase of drilling will target these high-grade plunging shoots and any extensions to mineralised gold zones.
Proactive caught up with Kingwest back in December 2019 for an update.
