The Leonora gold project hosts the Mertondale, Cardinia and Raeside gold deposits and is located in the Mt Margaret Mineral Field in the centre of the Eastern Goldfields region.
The current indicated and inferred gold resource for the site is around 17.2mln tonnes at 1.41 grams per tonne of gold, giving a resource of 782,000 ounces.
Located around 10-34 kilometres south of Leonora, Desdemona is noted for having good potential for the discovery of economic gold, nickel, platinum group elements and base metals mineralisation.
Iron King Group
The Iron King Group are eight leases that used to contain a gold mine between 1981 and 1985, the leases are also located 14km northwest of the ‘Kong of the Hills’ gold mine.
The Murrin Murrin leases form a contiguous package located adjacent to the historic Murrin Murrin gold mining centre and the former Anaconda, Rio Tinto and Nangeroo base metal mines.
The Redcastle project is located immediately northeast of the historic Redcastle Mining Centre, with metal detecting and prospecting having resulted in the discovery of large gold nuggets.
The Mt Flora project area covers numerous historic gold workings and is also located 7km to the northwest of the Glencore nickel-cobalt mine and processing plant.
The Randwick gold project is located just north of the historic Randwick Mining Centre, with the historic high-grade Golden Chain Mine in the centre of the project.
- In early December the company entered a farm-in and joint venture agreement with Genesis Minerals Ltd (ASX:GMD) to help develop the Desdemona South Gold Project
- The company has begun a 10,000-metre drilling programme at its flagship Cardinia project
- In early November, the company reported positive assays from a regional rock chip sampling program at Cardinia which featured standout gradings such as 895 grams per tonne (g/t) and 277 g/t gold
