Fraccing, short for fracturing, is the process of sending fluids at high-pressure down the well to help release oil and gas from the target area.
The fraccing process was recently completed and now the flow-back of the frac fluids through the well casing has been successful.
Siciny-2 remains on schedule
Ansila’s technical director Chris Lewis said: “We are very pleased with the operational progressions at Siciny-2.
The flow back through the casing has been another successful operation, exceeding expectations in duration and in the volume of fluids recovered.
“We are now looking forward to continuing to clean the well up through production tubing before commencing the well test.”
Proactive catches up with Ansila
Recently, Proactive caught up with Chris Lewis for an update on the results of a Conceptual Field Development Plan (CFDP) for the Gora license in Poland.
The CFPD assumes a phased development program with drilling of a total of 192 multi-staged hydraulically fractured horizontal wells from 16 well pads.
