Notably, the projects are along trend from Newcrest Mining Ltd's (ASX:NCM) Cadia Valley 42-million ounce gold mine and adjacent to Alkane’s recent Boda discovery.
Alice Queen’s managing director Andrew Buxton said: “After three years of accumulating tenements along the northern undercover Molong Volcanic Belt, it’s very exciting to see all these projects advancing from application through to grant, target generation, access and ultimately drilling.”
All documents submitted for drilling access
Eight targets that have been generated within the Mendooran projects that are located within the Goonoo Goonoo State Conservation Area.
Alice Queen has expended significant time and effort over the past twelve months to obtain access to the Goonoo Goonoo area for exploration drilling.
Positively, this work has recently been completed and all documents have been submitted to the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service for review.
Results from Mendooran South and Yarindury assays pending
At Mendooran South, results from two holes drilled by former JV partner Newcrest showed no significant mineralisation but did show signs of geology related to porphyry-style mineralisation.
The holes tested a small portion of Mendooran South and further targets have been identified for possible drill testing in conjunction with the ongoing Yarindury drilling.
At Yarindury, three porphyry targets have been drilled with assays pending and expected in the coming weeks.
An additional three porphyry targets are also expected to be tested at Yarindury and target generation work is ongoing.
