Drilling has intersected high-grade gold mineralisation in the Crusader-Templar corridor.

Nexus Minerals Ltd - Nexus Minerals drills up to 9 g/t gold at Crusader and Templar

Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has completed a 4,375-metre aircore drilling program at its Crusader and Templar prospects within the Wallbrook Project, WA.

Highlights from the 91-hole program include 3 metres at 8.37 g/t gold, 18 metres at 1.40 g/t gold and 26 metres at 1.02 g/t gold.

The aim of this first pass aircore drill program was to drill six broad spaced lines, up to 1 kilometre apart, across the undrilled mineralised corridor.

Notably, this drilling has effectively tested and confirmed the continuation of the mineralised envelope hosting the Crusader style mineralisation, for a further three kilometres to the north of the Nexus’ Crusader resource.

The six lines drilled can be seen on the map below along with drilling highlights including grades of up to 24.43 g/t gold.

Closer space drilling now required

Further aircore drilling is now required to infill the lines to 100-metre spacing, allowing further delineation of the mineralised envelope.

It is expected that reverse circulation (RC) drilling will follow up on the best of the aircore results.

Mining studies and regional exploration continues at Wallbrook

Nexus has also commenced mine studies at the Crusader resource area, which contains 85,000 ounces gold.

The aim is to determine the potential for a stage I starter pit, and subsequent staged open cut pit development options.

In addition, ground-based exploration activities including a high-resolution ground magnetics survey, geological mapping and sampling, continues across the 250 square kilometre Wallbrook Gold Project tenement package.

Proactive caught up with Nexus in late August 2019 for an update.
