Panoramic Resources Ltd (ASX:PAN) has received formal notification from the company’s long serving non-executive chairman, Brian Phillips, that he would not be standing for re-election as a director at the upcoming 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
Phillips has informed Panoramic that he wishes to reduce his business and corporate commitments in order to spend more time with his family.
Phillips joined the company as a non-executive director on March 27, 2007 and was appointed non-executive chairman on November 17, 2011.
Over a 12 year-period as director and then as chairman, Phillips over saw Panoramic becoming a successful major Australian nickel-copper-cobalt sulphide producer and was instrumental in the diversification into other commodities, namely gold and platinum group metals (PGMs).
Panoramic noted that Phillips' leadership and guidance were invaluable during the downturn in the nickel sector in 2015 and 2016, which was a difficult time for Panoramic.
