The share acquisition has more than quadrupled the director’s shareholding in the company.

Argosy Minerals Ltd (ASX:AGY) non-executive director Mal Randall has increased his shareholding in the company by one million shares.

The $45,000 share purchase came about through the conversion of one million options with a strike price of 4.5 cents.

Randall’s overall shareholding in the company increases to 1.32 million shares.

Recently acquired project in Nevada

Argosy recently purchased the Tonopah Lithium Brine Project in Nevada located four kilometres from lithium giant Albemarle’s (NYSE:ALB) Silver Peak lithium brine operation.

The acquisition creates an opportunity to leverage Argosy’s lithium brine processing expertise over an expanded asset base.

Argosy’s immediate focus and priority remains developing the Rincon Lithium Project and progressing towards construction of the 2,000 tonnes per annum lithium carbonate equivalent production operation.
