Jindalee Resources Limited (ASX:JRL) has completed diamond drilling at the McDermitt Lithium Project in Nevada, USA, with nine holes drilled and assays awaited for eight of the holes.
Both rigs have been demolished from site and reclamation works will be complete shortly in preparation for re-seeding the disturbed areas.
The core has been processed and transported to ALS Laboratories in Reno for assay with turnaround times for results expected to be around five weeks.
Prospective horizons identified
Detailed geological logging completed during drilling has also allowed the correlation of individual units between drill holes and the identification of additional prospective units below those seen in the 2018 program.
Assay results from the 2018 program highlighted that finer-grained shales and mudstones typically hosted the higher grades of lithium.
Deeper drilling in the current program has identified additional fine-grained units, however, it is unknown if these units are mineralised.
