Social Life Network, Inc (OTCMKTS:WDLF) subsidiary MjLink.com Inc announced Wednesday that Bruce Linton, the former co-founder of Canopy Growth Inc (TSE:WEED) (NYSE:CGC), will be the keynote speaker at its upcoming conference in Beverly Hills.
Billed as “The next level in cannabis investment,” the MjMicro Conference is an invitational investor networking forum organised by MjLink.com.
The conference, which will be held on October 16 at the Sofitel Hotel, unites C-level executives from presenting cannabis companies, in one-on-one meetings with private and institutional investors.
“I am excited to be speaking at the upcoming MjMicro Conference in Beverly Hills, California,” Linton said in a statement. “This is a program supported by some of the early movers of the current market makers and I am honored to join them.”
Linton founded Canopy Growth - the world's biggest cannabis company - in 2013. According to Bank of America research, the legal marijuana industry offers investors great long-term growth potential, with sales projections for the industry coming in as high as $166 billion.
Social Life Network CEO Ken Tapp said: “We are honored to have Bruce Linton support the MjMicro Conference as our keynote speaker in Beverly Hills.”
“Bruce is the perfect keynote speaker to educate the 300-plus attending investors at MjMicro, on how to navigate and identify the very best cannabis companies to invest in. He is a wealth of knowledge and priceless experience,” he added.
Social Life said MjMicro helps investors "sift through the fluff" to determine the best opportunities. In June, MjLink held its first investor conference in New York and launched MjMicro.com, a new social network specifically tailored for cannabis investors.
The site provides a platform for public and private cannabis companies to give virtual presentations to an audience of more than 35,000 investors, brokers, analysts, and investment funds.
