Salazar Resources (TSX-V:SRL) popped 5% today after the company reported high grade gold-silver-copper-lead-zinc mineralization from its latest batch of diamond drilling at El Domo, one zone within the Curipamba Volcanic Massive Sulphide (VMS) project in Ecuador.

Drill results today also extended the known strike of El Domo by 100 meters to 650 meters, and still remains open to the south-east.

Diamond drill hole Curi-10-69, which was drilled on the south-eastern portion of the deposit, intersected 5.34 meters averaging 31.87 grams per tonne gold, 321 grams per tonne silver and approximately 1% copper, 5% lead and 10% zinc.  A second hole, Curie 10-70 intersected 8.36 meters averaging 0.44 grams per tonne gold and 2.28% zinc within a much thicker 38 meter zone of mineralization.

"In addition to the continued expansion of the deposit to the south east, we are particularly excited by the presence of the outstanding precious metals values in DDH 69… It is also noteworthy that similar values have been reported in surface grab samples taken approximately 250 meters to the north west of El Domo,” stated Fredy Salazar, President and CEO of Salazar Resources.

“We will continue our program to delineate the deposit in all directions and will shortly start to drill test adjacent targets around the flanks of the El Domo intrusive."

Drilling is expected to continue into November, with several holes planned for the first of two high priority targets adjacent to El Domo.
