AECOM Technology (NYSE: ACM), a Los Angeles-based architectural and engineering firm, announced today that it has agreed to acquire RSW, an engineering firm based in Montreal, Canada. The financial terms of the transactions were undisclosed.
RSW is an engineering consultant firm with projects in more than 50 countries with over 550 employees. For the 12 months ended November 30, 2009, RSW had gross revenue of about US$45 million.
The transaction is not expected to have any effect on AECOM’s GAAP earnings per share for fiscal 2011.
The acquisition is subject to approval by AECOM’s shareholders and other customary closing conditions. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2010.
This is AECOM’s second acquisition in the last two months. In August, the company acquired McNeil Technologies, a government national security and intelligence services firm based in Springfield,Virginia., for US$355 million.
AECOM provides planning, consulting, design, and program and construction management services for a host of architectural and engineering projects. AECOM also provides program and facilities management and logistic services for agencies of the United States government.
For the year ended June 30, 2010, the company had revenue of $6.3 billion.
