Meteoric Resources starts drilling with first of two diamond rigs on site at Brazilian gold project

Meteoric Resources Ltd (ASX:MEI) managing director Andrew Tunks updates Proactive Investors on the start of drilling at Juruena Gold Project in Brazil.

The first of two diamond drill rigs is on site, with drilling to start immediately targeting the Dona Maria prospect. A second drill rig has been contracted, and is expected to arrive within the week.

There will be 26 holes drilled initially for a total of 4,700 metres.

This program has three primary objectives: to test under-drilled, shallow portions of resource areas of Dona Maria and Querosene below artisanal workings; test new predictive structural models within the projects; and extend areas of gold mineralisation outside the declared mineral resources.
