Alkane Resources' rare earths project highlighted as industry looks to non-Chinese supply

Alkane Resources Ltd (ASX:ALK) managing director Nic Earner updates Proactive Investors on the strategic role of rare earths in the ongoing US-China trade war, giving attention to non-Chinese supply of rare earths materials. 
 
"Australia's rare earth companies number the best, both in deposits and advancement," says Earner. 
 
He continues, "Alkane in particular, we've spent the period since the last crisis which was in 2011, we've advanced engineering and approvals for our project, as have some others in Australia."
 
Earner also discusses the role of rare earths in the national security debate, highlighting how this affects Australian rare earths miners and explorers.
