Bango extends platform to Amazon Prime and Amazon Student in Japan

Ray Anderson, chief executive of Bango plc (LON:BGO), updates Proactive's Andrew Scott on the mobile payment group's move into Amazon Prime and Amazon Student in Japan.

Earlier this year, the company launched direct carrier billing (DCB) for Amazon shoppers, but now Prime members can pay for their subscriptions using the service as well.

Direct carrier billing makes it easier to complete online purchases as customers don’t have to fill in their card details each time. Instead they select the DCB option and the cost is added to the next phone bill.

The extended service is available to KDDI and NTT DOCOMO customers, which account for around three-quarters of all mobile subscribers in Japan.
