Sunrise Resources taking advantage of “pivotal time” in concrete industry

Published: 23:30 15 Nov 2016 AEDT

Sunrise Resources Plc (LON:SRES) chairman Patrick Cheetham thinks there is a massive opportunity for natural pozzolan after the company expanded its Pozz project in Nevada by staking a second deposit.

Natural pozzolan is any material which, when mixed with lime and water, has cement-like properties and is viewed as a green alternative to Portland cement.

“It’s a good time to be acquiring these deposits,” Cheetham tells Proactive.

“We think there’s a real opportunity in natural pozzolan. It’s quite a pivotal time in the industry.”

He adds that, surprisingly, the markets in the US are the least developed, with others like Saudi Arabia leading the way.

“The markets in the States are quite small at the moment but are growing but elsewhere in the world the use of natural pozzolan is much more developed.”

Cheetham also tells investors that Sunrise is doing research at the moment and hints that there is a possibility for more project acquisitions in the near future.
