’s () managing director, William Howe, explains a more focussed, smaller mining operation at Los Calatos in Peru will allow the firm to hit higher grades of copper.
A new 3-D model of the deposit has found “distinct and discreet” higher grades of the metal, and as result, ’s now plans to mine and mill rate of six million tonnes per year with 50,000 tonnes of copper produced annually.
