Shefa Gems renews exploration permits at Kishon

The permits are for the Kishon River and Kishon Mid Reach Zones 2 and 3 prospects

Licence area includes Mt Carmel - the source of carmeltazite

Shefa Gems PLC (LON:SEFA) has had its exploration permits for the Kishon River and Kishon Mid Reach Zones 2 and 3 prospects renewed for a further year. 

Work is continuing on the procedures for a mining licence for Zone 1 where trial mining is planned to start in 2020.  

Avi Taub, chief executive, added:  "With the additional funding secured in May 2019, we have been able to accelerate our exploration efforts in the Kishon Mid Reach area. 

“Notably, the bulk samples recently collected from the campaign at Kishon Mid-Reach Zone 2 have begun treatment and analysis at the Company's operational site in Akko.”
