De Grey Mining appoints Eduard Eshuys and Bruce Parncutt as directors

The company recently received commitments to raise about $3 million via a placement to sophisticated, professional and other investor clients of Bell Potter.

De Grey Mining Ltd (ASX:DEG) has appointed Eduard Eshuys and Bruce Parncutt as non-executive directors of the company.

Eshuys is a veteran Australia gold geologist with several decades of exploration and discovery, development and production experience.

His success as an exploration director of several listed companies includes leadership of the teams that discovered the Plutonic Bronzewing and Jundee gold deposits in WA.

He also led the discovery of the discovery of the Cawse Nickel deposit and was involved in the Maggie Hays and Mariners nickel discoveries earlier in his career.

More recently Eshuys was managing director and CEO of St Barbara Ltd (ASX:SBM) from 2004 to 2009 and led the re-establishment of Sons of Gwalia as a major underground gold producer.

Parncutt is a seasoned investment markets professional and company director with a career that has spanned roles in resource investment analysis, stockbroking, investment management and investment banking.

He was managing director and CEO of McIntosh Securities from 1990 to 1996 until its acquisition by Merrill Lynch where he served as senior vice president for several years before forming Lion Capital where he is now chairman.

Parncutt has experience in public company and not for profit boards including as director of Australian Stock Exchange and as a trustee and president of the Council of Trustees of the National Gallery of Victoria.

Eshuys and Parncutt are also both directors of DGO Gold Limited, which has provided substantial support to De Grey Mining Ltd since its initial investment in De Grey in July 2018.

The former is executive chairman of DGO, an ASX-listed gold explorer that is building a portfolio of gold discovery opportunities through strategic equity investment, tenement acquisition and joint venture.

De Grey said it looked forward to working with Eshuys and Parncutt into the future.
