GiveMeSport, the sports media arm of Bragg Gaming Group Inc (CVE:BRAG) (OTC:BRGGF), has reaffirmed its position as the number one sports publisher on Facebook by crossing the 25 million-follower threshold.
The outlet achieved 65.7 unique Facebook users in the first quarter of 2019, and that number is expected to grow in the second quarter. Video viewership has grown 52% year over year, and interactions have more than doubled.
Likewise, GiveMeSport’s Instagram following has risen 45% year over year. Across platforms, its content is reaching 85 million unique users per month.
All told, its Facebook follower count is highter than ESPN and Sky Sports.
“We’ve made a number of significant enhancements to the GiveMeSport site and content since the beginning of the year, and we’re delighted that they’ve been so well-received,” Bragg CEO Dominic Mansour said. “Viewers have responded very positively to the improvements, and engagement has increased across all of our key performance metrics. The higher engagement is also translating into increased revenue across the properties.”
Bragg hopes to keep the ball rolling with a re-launch of the GiveMeSport brand in August.
The Toronto-based company also operates ORYX Gaming, a gaming technology platform and casino content aggregator. Its stock declined 4% to C$0.36 on the TSX-V but increased 9.2% to US$0.29 on OTC Markets.
