Duos Technologies Group Inc (OTCQB:DUOT) said Tuesday that it is releasing its next-generation automated logistics information system with artificial intelligence to automate gatehouse processing for trucks at distribution centers.
The Jacksonville, Florida-based company’s automated logistics information system, also known as the alis system, tightens security in protecting assets so distributors can “reduce risks, exposure, and loss,” said the company in a statement.
The alis system currently offers a video inspection portal and self-service kiosks, automating the check-in and check-out process for trucks at distribution centers.
It automatically capturing critical data such as license plates, trailer numbers, and waybills, and provides for identity verification.
The alis system also includes the addition of real-time intelligent video scanning. Among many other functionalities, alis is able to identify and confirm empty versus load-bearing trailers upon exit, as well as detect if a truck is exiting without an attached trailer. Consistent with the previous versions of alis, this enhanced scanning enables communication of critical data to a customer's integrated logistic software system.
Offers cost savings and efficiencies
"The growth of distribution center operations throughout the country is driving ever increasing demand for technology advancements that provide additional cost savings and efficiencies," said Duos CEO Gianni Arcaini.
The AI capabilities will increase “gate throughput, address loss-prevention challenges,” provide secure entry and exit, as well as cut yearly expenses and costs for companies, while helping them to protect their assets, he added.
Systems incorporating these advanced AI-based features are planned for production launch in the third quarter of 2019.
The company said it continues to invest in the development of its distribution vertical with the planned rollout of additional AI algorithms and inspection systems in the coming year.
