The next phase of work will start later this month

Investors in Alba Mineral Resources plc (LON:ALBA) can look forward to the next phase of work at the Brockham field in the coming weeks.

Brockham operator Angus Energy has announced that preparatory operations for the second stage of work will start in the week of 17 June.

This work will aim to ensure the well’s borehole is in optimum condition for testing, giving it the best possible ‘communication’ between the well and the fracture system.

Once complete, the partners expect to start well testing operations to determine whether commercial hydrocarbon flows can be achieved.

It comes as the company sees progress and encouragement across its mining and hydrocarbon focused investments.

Alba owns a 5% interest in the Brockham project, which is within the same play as its 11.765% owned Horse Hill project.
