Roto-Gro International focuses on improving cultivation of cannabis and perishable food

Roto-Gro International Limited (ASX:RGI) subsidiary Global Fertigation Solutions (GFS) has secured a $180,000 purchase order from Polaris Wellness Centre for storage and distribution capabilities.

Las Vegas-based state-licensed cannabis cultivation and production facility, Polaris Wellness Centre, is upgrading and expanding its growing area to 16,500 square feet.

GFS has been engaged to upgrade water treatment and storage and distribution capabilities to automate and streamline the feeling schedules for Polaris crops.

"Exceeds anything else” on the market

Polaris co-founder and CEO Jim Switzer said: “We are excited to collaborate with Global Fertigation Solutions to grow our award-winning 'Best of Vegas Strain' Head cheese.

“After three successful years of growing and research, we have found the GFS automated watering process far exceeds anything else available on the market.

“No matter the size of the facility, we are able to maintain premium quality cannabis while reducing operational costs with Global Fertigation Solutions.”

Real-time batching of nutrient recipes

GFS proves automated, precise and real-time batching and dosing of bespoke nutrient recipes on a closed-loop basis for delivery to crops in all agricultural applications throughout their life cycle.

The fertigation system removes salts, heavy minerals and contaminants from municipal water, supplying an equalised and homogenous base to which client-specific nutrient recipes are added.

It is also programmed to batch nutrient blends depending on the stage of the crop’s lifestyle and its feeding requirements.

“Market leaders in technology solutions”

RotoGro managing director Michael Carli added: “The Polaris purchase order with our wholly-owned subsidiary highlights our standing as market leaders in technology solutions for the agricultural space.

“Our team at GFS continues their great work since acquisition driving sales leads to new purchase orders and although it is not always feasible to retrofit existing facilities with the RotoGro Hydroponic Gardens, GFS is able to secure sales orders in support of our customer's needs across the agricultural space.”

The Polaris and Frozen Penguin orders account for more than $300,000 with GFS in the past six weeks.
