ClearStar integration with Abbot Labs provides significant boost to mobile drug testing operation

Smartphone-enabled ClearMD platform is the only paperless system of its type on offer currently, making it a quick, efficient method of screening

ClearStar Inc(LON:CLSU) said it has significantly expanded the number of collection sites for its ClearMD mobile drug testing solution by integrating with the network of industry giant Abbott Laboratories.

The employee background checking specialist has similar tie-ups with LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics.

Abbott has  4,500 locations across the USeffectively doubling ClearStar's testing sites

Smartphone-enabled ClearMD platform is the only paperless system of its type on offer currently, making it a quick, efficient method of screening.

"By increasing the number of medical test sites available through our smartphone-enabled ClearMD, we can provide a better experience for the employee or candidate by offering more choice and less hassle as well as benefit the employer by getting their employee to work quicker," said chief executive Robert Vale.

"This integration, which is the result of substantial efforts by, and the expertise of, our IT engineers, further enhances our competitive position in this market. 

"We hope to leverage this as we continue to receive increasing demand driven by the strength of our differentiated offer in an ever-more mobile society along with changes such as the deregulation of recreational drug use."
