Global Construction Services Ltd (ASX:GCS) has secured a $5.3 million contract for the redevelopment of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
Importantly, this takes the company’s total project awards since entering the Victorian concrete and formwork market 12 months ago to over $26.5 million.
Global Construction has been awarded the contract by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
The project includes the installation of precast panels, reinforcement, construction of complex in-situ vertical walls and all other related concrete structure installations.
The project is expected to commence in November 2018 and be completed in about seven months.
Diversifying geographic revenue streams
GCS Group managing director Enzo Gullotti said: “The award of this contract is another outstanding result by GCS having only entered the Victorian concrete and formwork market twelve months ago.
“This contract award further diversifies our geographic revenue streams, is complementary to our workforce planning and takes total project awards since we entered the Victorian market to over $26.5 million.
“It clearly demonstrates that the Group is delivering on its strategy of becoming a leading, diversified construction services contractor operating across Australia.”
