A phase III drilling campaign is scheduled later this month

Oro Verde Ltd (ASX:OVL) has received high grade gold results from trenching at the Topacio project in Nicaragua.

The company has dug 40 trenches in a phase III surface trenching and sampling campaign and has received results from a second group of 13 trenches.

Best result from Lone Star Vein was 4.8 metres at 5.07 g/t gold and 44.25 g/t silver, including 1 metre at 16.6 g/t gold and 130.7 g/t silver.

Other good results were 5.85 metres at 5.20 g/t gold and 8.17 g/t silver from Mico Central Vein, and 4.2 metres at 4.39 g/t gold and 8.01 g/t silver from Chicago Vein.

These results build on and complement the results of the first 14 trenches which also recorded high grade gold values.

Planning for follow-up drilling

All results are being incorporated in the final stages of planning for follow-up phase III diamond core drilling, which is scheduled to begin later this month.

Oro Verde holds an option to purchase agreement over the historically-reported high grade Topacio Gold Project in Nicaragua’s southeast.
