The company's shares are in pre-open

Traka Resources Ltd (ASX:TKL) recently reached an agreement with a private company, Cobalt QLD Pty Ltd, on the Gorge Creek Project.

The project is located 30 kilometres west of Aeon Metals Ltd’s (ASX:AML) emerging Walford Creek copper, lead, zinc, silver and cobalt deposit in the highly prospective Mt Isa Inlier and Carpentaria Province, host to a number of Tier 1 base metal mines.

Traka was attracted to the project because no systematic modern drilling has been undertaken to test a number of large structures.

To advance the next steps, the company is heading to market with a capital raising, and the ASX has granted a trading halt to prepare.

The halt will remain in place until the opening of trade on Wednesday 29th November 2017, or earlier if an announcement is made to the market.
