Spookfish recently got approval in Australia for its camera pod

Spookfish (ASX:SFI) achieved a significant commercial milestone by gaining acceptance following an extensive U.S. flight test program by EagleView Technologies Inc.

Spookfish’s camera technology enables rapid imaging of entire countries in high resolution from a multitude of angles at a fraction of the cost of contemporary systems.

The company aims to use these capabilities to make it easy for organisations to gain access to premium imagery content and pervasive 3D models allowing accurate and cost effective decision-making.

In 2016, Spookfish entered into an agreement with EagleView, an aerial imagery and data analytics solutions provider, to use Spookfish technology in North America.

By accepting the Spookfish camera system, EagleView has validated that the system conforms to the applicable specifications under the licence agreement.

It also triggers the conversion of EagleView’s 100,045,583 convertible Spookfish notes.

Spookfish and EagleView will now put into action their rollout strategy in North America.

Importantly, the design, manufacture, assembly, certification, successful operational testing and customer acceptance within 12 months is a significant achievement for Spookfish.

Last month, Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved Spookfish camera pod for commercial operations.

This allows Spookfish to install various sensors, lenses and processing equipment into the camera pod for commercial aircrafts operating within Australia.

Spookfish’s share price increased circa 35% since the start of 2017, last trading at $0.092.
