King River Copper Ltd (ASX:KRC) has completed its phase 1 drilling program at the Speewah Dome gold, copper and silver project in the Eastern Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Phase 1 of the reverse circulation drilling program comprised of 45 holes for 2,639 metres at the JoeFisher, Chapman West, Hayden NW and Windsor targets.
King River will release the assay results after receiving and analysing them.
Additionally, The Chapman, Splays, Copper Cliff and Windsor ground gravity surveys are completed.
The new gravity survey has confirmed the 12 kilometres long Greys-Chapman-JoeFisher structural corridor in the north of the Speewah Dome, which is the main focus for exploration.
Soil sampling is currently underway at JoeFisher to help locate new areas with copper mineralisation to drill later in the year.
Phase 2 reverse circulation drilling will commence in October and will include 2,000 metres, bringing the total for 2016 to 4,639 metres drilled.
A detailed ground magnetics program has commenced to aid in the delineation of the mineralised Chapman West Epithermal vein.
