Inca Minerals Ltd (ASX:ICG) has received further encouraging assays of up to 10.00% zinc, 240 g/t silver and 11.50% lead from a program of mapping and sampling at the Riqueza Project in Peru.
The purpose of the program was to commence investigating an unexplored area, the Pinta Prospect, centred 700 metres east of the Humaspunco Prospect.
The Uchpanga Prospect was also revisited during this program. The results confirm that, in addition to hosting strong zinc mineralisation, Uchpanga also hosts strong silver and gold.
Vein assay results at Uchpanga from the recent program include 6.46% zinc, 799 g/t silver, 11.76% lead and 3.59 g/t gold.
Mapping and sampling is now 25% complete at Humaspunco, 10% complete at Uchpanga and 5% complete at Pinta with the majority of the concession area yet to be covered.
Currently, Riqueza hosts a total of 30 mineralised bodies including 26 at Humaspunco; 1 vein and associated 750 metres long gossan at Uchpanga and 3 veins at Pinta.
Additional discoveries are expected to occur with numerous vein-like structures known at all three prospects and in other parts of the project area.
The results from a new mapping and sampling program are expected to be available in late August or early September 2016.
Inca Minerals raised more than $2 million in July from a rights issue and a share placement.
