SmartTrans (ASX: SMA) has marked its fourth consecutive month of revenue increases with its mobile and online operations bringing in $260,000 in March 2014.
This represents a more than five-fold from its revenue of $50,000 in March 2013 and highlights the value of the company’s continued focus on expanding mobile and online payments operations.
SmartTrans has seen good utilisation of its mobile and online payments platform in China where the company has mobile payments and online billing agreements in place with China Mobile, CMPay, UnionPay and Alipay.
Notably, the company remains in the early stages of its growth in China and continues to pursue additional mobile and online payments expansion and JV opportunities.
SmartTrans online revenue is derived from mobile apps sales and a new bitcoin mining contract, with services being expanded to include online training applications and websites under the MyLife brand.
It also earns royalties for providing a payment gateway for other app providers to sell into the Chinese market.
