Uranex Limited (ASX:UNX) has received first graphite assays from a drill program on its Nachu Graphite Project in Tanzania that have shown graphitic schist and potential mineralisation is present in multiple horizons.
Over 14,100 metres have been drilled so far in 2014.
In 2014, 122 drillholes including 106 Reverse Circulation (RC) and 16 Diamond core drillholes have been completed to date for a total of 14,180 metres drilled.
More assay results are expected in the coming weeks.
These will be incorporated in a maiden JORC Resource due for November 2014. Core drill samples are arriving for metallurgical test work.
High grade graphite intercepts on multiple blocks included:
- 29m at 8.1% Cg from 0m, including 3m @ 17.8% Cg (NARC080)
- 30m at 9.7% Cg from 38m, including 9m @ 15.9% Cg from 53m (NARC074)
- 27m at 8.7% Cg from 9m, including 6m @ 18.3% Cg (NARC057)
- 21m at 9.5% Cg from 137m, including 8m @ 11.3% (NARC063)
Metallurgical study data as well as sample preparation is underway for MOU partners and potential end users.
