Orocobre Limited to reveal placement to sophisticated investors

Orocobre Limited (ASX:ORE) is preparing to outline details of a placement made to sophisticated investors.

The company is focussed on the Olaroz lithium project in Argentina, which is approaching production.

Battery grade lithium carbonate has been produced at the Olaroz pilot plant since January 2011.

Orocobre has key partnerships with Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Jujuy provincial government mining company.

The Australian Stock Exchange has granted the company a trading halt, with its shares placed in pre-open.

The halt will last until the earlier of the opening of trade on Wednesday 4th February 2015, or when an update is released to the market.
