Blina Minerals (ASX:BDI) has requested a trading halt of its shares on the ASX before an announcement expected by Wednesday, December 16 regarding a transaction and placement.

Blina activities lately have focused largely on the investigation of soil anomalies on the Diakouli gold project in Burkina Faso, which lies 10-20 kilometres north of the 2 million ounce Natougou gold discovery.

An assessment of the project will be made in the December quarter which coincides with the wet season in Burkina Faso.

Evaluation of other mineral exploration opportunities has continued in both Australia and Africa.
