Golden Gate Petroleum (ASX: GPP) has started reconfiguration of the gas lift compressor at its SRH-5H horizontal well the Permian Project, Texas, to improve efficiency.

Gas intake values have been increased in size to allow improved flow and lift rates from the system, which had previously performed at substandard levels.

Average daily production for the two week period ending 31 August 2013 was 99.1 barrels of oil equivalent, down from 138.7 boe/d in the previous period.

This is due to SRH-5H being shut for most of the reporting period for the reconfiguration.
