Fortis Mining granted halt pending Potash Salt Deposits geological report

Fortis Mining (ASX: FMJ) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX pending what has the potential to be a significant announcement for the company.

Fortis shares are now in pre-open, pending the findings of an independent geological report on the Zhilyanskoe and Chelkar Potash Salt Deposits in Kazakhstan prepared by Ercosplan.

The trading halt will last until the earlier of the announcement, or the commencement of trade on Tuesday 4 October.
